Snowplow Driver
Thanks for your interest! We are no longer accepting applications for this position. Would you like to support RPA’s community and earn a little extra money? Do you have experience snow plowing, have a clean driving record, and are you available during the days following a snowstorm?

As RPA’s snowplow driver you will drive and care for RPA’s plow truck, work reasonable hours, and be paid for hours worked. This job will not require you to work in the middle of the night. Our goal is to have all our parking areas cleared within several days of a snowstorm and to have all icy areas sanded. Pride in doing the best job plowing is more important to us than having parking areas opened the same day as a storm. You must, however be available to respond during daylight hours starting the day after every storm.

You will plow 13 parking areas spread over eastern Rensselaer County for the 2023 – 2024 season, including parking areas for both RPA and Rensselaer Land Trust (RLT) lands. An 86 mile loop will visit each property. The larger parking areas accommodate 22 cars. RPA’s plow truck is a Chevy 2500 HD with a large straight plow and a 1-yard capacity sander.

This position would start for the 2023 – 2024 winter season. $18 to $22 an hour.
