House is fully stocked with linens, towels, beach towels. Queen beds in the 3 bedrooms.
Approximate Value (depending on season) $ 1,250 - $1,750

Split Rock through the Seasons - take your pick!
Summer: The Northeast Kingdom is very popular for swimming, fishing, hiking, and biking. There are at least 5 mountains surrounding Lake Willoughby with excellent marked trails and beautiful views from the summits. Craft stores, antiques, Bread & Puppet Theatre, and Circus Smirkus are among the well-known attractions. East Burke (about 40 minutes away) has a very popular mountain-biking trail system.
Winter: Jay Peak and Burke Mountain Ski Resorts are less than a one hour drive from Lake Willoughby and Burke also has excellent cross-country skiing. For the truly adventurous, the cliffs of Mount Pisgah at Willoughby’s southern end are famous for winter ice-climbing and the lake is also a popular ice-fishing venue. The Craftsbury Cross Country Ski Center is also about one hour away from Split Rock. We enjoy snowshoeing and cross-country skiing right from our doorstep though on unplowed sections of road, a nearby community forest, and the local mountains.
Fall: The Northeast Kingdom is a truly spectacular place for viewing New England’s fall foliage at its finest. There are many unpaved roads with scenic views and of course, hiking at this time of year is spectacular.
Blackout dates: July 10 through Labor Day weekend (although there may be some flexibility within that time that can be arranged with the owners), Christmas through New Year’s, and Thanksgiving week.
A huge Thank You to Susan Poisson-Dollar and Jerry Dollar for this very generous donation.
