Winner will be announced on July 15, 2022.

Simpson Bay Resort, Marina, and Spa is a time share resort located right on Pelican Bay in the Caribbean island of St. Maarten. With several pools, a gentle, private beach with lounge chairs and shady areas, restaurants, a casino, shops and a small grocery store, this is a fun, relaxing trip with something for everyone!

The island  has both Dutch and French "sides", but English is spoken and U.S. dollars are accepted, along with all major credit cards. You can leave the resort to access a large grocery store, many restaurants and shops - including yummy French bakeries!  There are also many beautiful beaches all over the island with public access. Going between the sides is like driving between states - no problem.  There is a fun mix of "touristy" areas, but also a lot of local, Caribbean flavor. You can take day trips to other surrounding Islands but be aware of Covid restrictions which may be in place.

About the Space: The unit is a 1 bedroom with a Queen size bed and 2 twin murphy beds in the main living space. Fully appointed kitchen including oven, microwave, and a dishwasher. All linens supplied. Unit has a great view of the ocean, with beach access just down a short hill, all within the resort. There is also a private deck.

The unit is up a short hill so you will have to be able to walk up/down to get to the beach, etc. A car can be parked at the unit building and there is an elevator to the 4th floor (though it is sometimes out of commission). Staff can help bring luggage up if that is the case.
