The 2021-2022 Lecture Series has concluded! The lecture series will be on hiatus for the months of July and August, and we'll get things rolling again with a new season in September!

Details will be announced in late August.

 

Fishing on the Rensselaer Plateau

with Bob Davis and Tom Carroll

Bob Davis is the President of local Home-Waters 586 Chapter of Trout Unlimited (TU) and Tom Carroll is its Conservation Chairman. Trout Unlimited is the cold-water fishery conservation group in Rensselaer County. Bob and Tom will speak about the organization and its many new stream projects. They will include a Poesten Kill stream restoration behind the Poestenkill firehouse and Wagner’s farm, recently purchased temperature monitors for stream studies, wave studies (water quality through the insects in the water) and redd studies (trout spawning beds). In addition, they will describe TU’s TIC program (Trout in the Classroom) which, prior to Covid, took place in 5 high schools throughout Rensselaer County.
 

Pre-registration is required. The suggested voluntary donation is $5, though any amount is welcome. To register, just click the link below.
